Issuance of Maternity passbook (Boshi kenko techo)
When you get pregnant, please get “Pregnancy Notification Form” at hospital and have issuance of Maternity passbook at Health Center. Maternity passbook is an important item which describes health condition of pregnant woman and nursing mother, has important information of childbirth (Date and time of child’s birth, medical facilities and hospitals where the child was born etc.) and keeps record such as child’s vaccination and state of growth etc. Maternity passbook is required when child has vaccination and medical checkup. In addition, please receive Health Screening Medical Sheet for Pregnant Woman and Infant (Ninpu/Nyuji Kenkoshinsa Jyushinhyou) 〈Supplementary ticket〉 at the same time.
During pregnancy, if you participate in a class concerning childbirth/parenting which is called “Papa Mama Kyoshitsu” held at Health Center, you can learn ways of child raising.

Hagumin Card
Toyokawa city distributes “Hagumin Card” to households with child younger than 18 years old, and pregnant women. This card can be used at handling shops in 3 prefectures in Tokai Region (Aichi, Gifu, Mie) and has various kinds of benefits depending on shops.
Distribution of Card
The cards are distributed at Child Rearing Support Division (Kosodate Shien Ka), Child Rearing Support Center (Kosodate Shien Center), Health Center (Hoken Center) and respective branch offices (Ichinomiya, Otowa, Mito and Kozakai).
Pregnant persons are asked to bring maternity passbook and other persons are asked to bring ID documents (Driver's license, residence card etc.).
