About exceptional measures concerning Child Rearing Allowance (Jido Fuyo Teate) on heavy rain of June 2, 2023 「令和5年6月2日豪雨の被災における児童扶養手当の特例措置について」

For person with recipient qualification of Child Rearing Allowance who received disaster-related property damage (Approx. 50％ or more of the property value), exceptional measures may be applied by temporarily lifting income regulations so that entire Child Allowance can be paid.

Eligible person

Among persons with recipient qualification of Child Rearing Allowance, those who partially receive Child Rearing Allowance or had stopped receiving it completely, and got disaster-related property damage (50％ or more of the property value)

Note

1. Person who receives entire Child Rearing Allowance is not eligible.
2. The sum covered by insurance etc. is not included for the damage cost.
3. In case that the annual income in the disaster year is the sum regulated for entire Child Rearing Allowance or more, the person is requested to pay the received allowance back later on.
4. Damage received by relatives is not included for eligibility if they are not regarded as dependents based on income tax law.

From the month of disaster occurrence to October in the following year
