What is Jido Club? 「児童クラブとは」

It is aimed for offering appropriate living place with intention to realize healthy growth of children whose guardians are not at home during the day due to work etc.

Eligible Child

Child who goes to elementary school in Toyokawa whose guardian is not at home during the day due to work etc., and who is recognized adaptable to group life at Jido Club.

Open Hour

From after school to 6:00 pm.

During the period of spring/summer/winter holidays, and closed days of school, open hour is from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. If any guardians cannot come to pick up the child due to work etc., extended hour until 7:00 pm is available (Application is required for extended hour service. For utilization, additional 1,000 yen is necessary per month.).

Closed Day

1. Saturdays and Sundays
2. Golden Week (On April 29 and from May 3 to 6), Obon Holiday (From August 13 to 15), End and Beginning of the Year (From December 29 to Janurary 3)
3. Days which are recognized by Mayor of Toyokawa (Such as disaster and storm)

Fee

7,500 yen/month (In case of admission with brothers and sisters, 5,500 yen for 2nd child, and 3,000 yen for 3rd child and further)

*For using extended hour service, 1,000 yen is added to monthly fee.

*For household which lives on welfare or single parent family whose all members living with the child in the same address (Father, mother, or grandparent 〈No age limitation〉) are exempted from paying previous year’s municipal tax, the fee for Jido Club is 1,000 yen per child.

Application

Application form is available at Child Rearing Support Division (Kosodate Sihen Ka) in City Hall or at respective Jido Club. Application in the middle of school year is accepted at any time and 15th of the previous month to the desired month for admission is the due day of application.
*About Jido Clubs which are run by Guardian’s Association (Hogoshakai), please directly contact respective clubs.

*For the club which has more children than its capacity, please understand that you are asked to wait for admission. When it is ready to accept, there will be notification to the waiting child with higher priority such as lower graders etc.
