Seal (Inkan) Registration 「印鑑登録」

On some occasions of important contract such as registering land and building, automobile, and asking financial institutions for loan, there occurs necessity of Jitsuin (Registered Inkan) and Inkan Shoumeisho (Seal Registration Certification).

Based on municipal ordinance, an individually registered Inkan is generally called Jitsuin, and a document which certifies the image of registered Inkan is Inkan Toroku Shomeisho (Seal Registration Certification.)

Place to file and reception hour

Civic Affairs Division at City Hall or Ichinomiya Branch Office, Otowa Branch Office, Mito Branch Office, and Kozakai Branch Office: From Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5:15pm
Prio Service Center: Every day from 10:00am to 7:00pm (Except Prio building’s day off, end and beginning of the year)

Eligible person for Seal Registration

Person who is 15 years old and older, and has resident registration in Toyokawa city

Eligible Inkan for Registration

Eligible Inkan is one per person and does NOT meet the following things.

Inkan which does not represent full name, family name, first name, or part of full name registered in Basic Resident Register (Jyumin Kihon Daicho Card)

Inkan which does not represent previous family name or part of previous family name registered in Basic Resident Resister (Jyumin Kihon Daicho Card)

Inkan which represents occupation , qualification, and items other than name

Inkan which has probability of deformity with its material such as rubber etc.

Its image size fits in 8 square millimeters or does not fit in 25 square millimeters

Inkan which does not give clear image

Inkan which is considered inappropriate as seal

Application for Seal Registration

It is principally requested that the person wishing for Seal Registration does application.However, due to illness and other inevitable reasons, if application cannot be done by the person itself, representative can apply for the person.
