Medical Facilities
There are both private and public medical facilities available. You should go to the hospital or medical facility appropriate to the symptoms. Reservations are not absolutely necessary, however the registration time varies for each medical facility. You are encouraged to call ahead. You will also need to present your health insurance card when you first visit.
As there are few health care workers who speak foreign languages, it is best if you bring someone who speaks Japanese with you when you visit.
