For Pregnancies
In the case of a pregnancy, come to the health center with a pregnancy report from a doctor or midwife to have a maternity record book issued. Two books, "Maternity Record Book" and "Pregnancy and Nursing Health Examination and Treatment Record" make up one set and are a record of the health of both mother and child. These record books must be kept until the child enters elementary school.
Maternity Health Affairs
IDuring pregnancy and after birth, health examinations are provided free at the Health Center. Consultations and classes on pregnancy, birth and child care are also provided. Please bring your Maternity Record Book with you. Check in information publications such as the "Toyokawa" for dates and locations.

Health Examinations:
Pregnant mother / baby health examination, 3-month / 18-month / 3-year-old child health examination, pregnant mother dental examination

Counseling and Classes:
Newborn care counseling, Papa and Mama classes, Sukusuku Class (counseling for care of babies one year and under), Mogumogu Class (teaching nutrition for children 3 years and under)

Children's Inoculations

Children may receive free of charge the following inoculations at the Health Center: three-type mixture (diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough), polio, measles, rubella, Japanese encephalitis, tuberculosis, BCG and so on. For dates and locations other than those at kindergartens, elementary and junior high schools, check in information publications such as the "Toyokawa".

Medical Cost Assistance for Infants, Babies and Children

A system has been established to assist in the personal payment portion of medical insurance for children under three. Bring the health insurance card bearing the child's name to the Insurance and Pension Office for processing. A "Medical Treatment Recipient Identification" will be issued.

Medical Cost Assistance for Fatherless Families and Motherless Families

A system has been established to assist in the personal payment portion of medical insurance for both parent and child in fatherless or motherless families raising children 18 years old and under as well as for children in families without either parent in which the grandparent or grandparents are raising a child 18 years old or under. However, assistance will not be provided when the parent or guardian's income is over the set limit. Apply at the Insurance and Pension Office for processing.

lowance for Children

An allowance for children is provided to families raising children under 3 years old. However, the assistance will not be granted when the father's or the mother's income is over the set limit. Apply at the Juvenile Affairs Office for processing.
There are also other compensation programs for motherless and fatherless families.
