【Kindergarten】

Kindergartens provide daycare for your children. If you wish to place your child in kindergarten you must fulfill certain criteria. The conditions listed below are applicable to the child’s legal guardians and any grandparents aged less than 64 living under the same roof. A kindergarten place will be provided if you:

　(1) Hold a full time job

　(2) Work from home during the daytime (not including housework)

　(3) Need help during the 8 weeks after childbirth

　(4) Are ill, injured or physically or mentally disabled

　(5) Are providing care for sick relatives living with you or relatives that are mentally or physically disabled who are living with you

　(6) Are engaged in disaster-relief activities

　(7) Are in a similar situation as stated above e.g. attending a vocational training school

【Nursery School】

There are six nursery schools. Each school has unique programs based on the Guidelines for the Course of Study by the ministry of education and culture. Tuition and lesson times vary from school to school.
