Japan often experiences earthquakes and typhoons. Typhoons come in summer and autumn. Confirm where the nearest evacuation site is on a routine basis. Also, prepare emergency goods in case of an evacuation.
Prepare water and emergency food for 3 days or longer, radio, flashlight, clothes, first-aid kit. Be aware that public transportation may stop because of typhoons and earthquakes.
